Friend of a Friend

from Quarantine 19 by Alloy Fox

/

about

Music & Lyrics mostly written when I was in a Chicago rock band called Re:Dudes around 2009. Brian Bisesi wrote the last verse. Wasn't feeling the rock version anymore, so I threw the song into an 8-bit gaming console and this version emerged.

lyrics

I'm a lame dragon
I stay out late like a strange man without a face
I'm okay

You're too late for the fashion
I need proof that the ends at the end
I'm a loose canon
I'm the strange friend of a friend of a saint

I'm okay
You're okay
We're okay

(Strange) Not that I could ever forget the things you said
(I feel used) You'll burn bright and beautiful shades of red
(You're the change) You can't help but imagine the day when you're dead
(I feel new) The day will come too soon but until then
(like a friend of a friend of a saint) You're okay

I'm okay
